Amy Medrano is a Mexican-American visual artist based in Birmingham, Alabama.

She holds a Bachelor’s in Art & Psychology from the University of Chicago.

Her work, inspired by nature and cultural memory explores the intersection of emotion and identity. Using oil painting and mixed media, Amy translates both conscious and subconscious thoughts into textured compositions that evoke the fluid, nostalgic quality of memory.
